Church Restoration

Remember how Solomon's temple was destroyed and all its treasures removed when the people went into captivity, and then how it was built again when King Darius found the scroll and dedicated himself to its restoration? As it is with the temple at Jerusalem, so it is with any stepping-stone of faith until the Word of the living God is found written in our hearts. The Church of Christ, Scientist will be restored as needed when the Manual is read, its spiritual meaning deciphered, and honest laborers are found doing the work. The good purpose waits to be understood: "The beauty of holiness, the perfection of being, imperishable glory, - all are Mine, for I am God" (SH 253:2).
